After more than 20 years as a pastor, educator, and administrator in the church I became an attorney. I knew from the time I started law school that the skills learned there were to be used for Kingdom work.
In July 2011, I was asked to visit New Life Church as a consultant during a pastoral transition. It was during that week, that I recognized God wanted to re-build the ministry here and I also began to feel God calling me to step away from my position as a government attorney and return to the pastorate to take part in re-building and establishing the ministry in Orlando.
I went to Bible College in North Dakota (where I met Carmela) and began work as a pastor. I later served in Kentucky, Florida and Michigan. Education has been a part of my entire life. I received the B.A. in Biblical Studies from the Northwest Bible College; the M.Div. from the Church of God Theological Seminary; the Ph.D. in Theology from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; and the J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law. My heart is authentic preaching in which the Bible is applied to our lives and leads us to grow as believers in Christ.
My wife, Carmela is our Worship Pastor and we have two daughters. Ándrea (lives in North Carolina with her husband, Jim and our two grandchildren) and Emma is here with us, a gifted singer and student of the guitar.
Reading is practically my only hobby, but I love God, my family and . . . Breyer’s butter pecan ice cream (in that order of course!)

I was born in Puerto Rico and Jesus became my Lord and Savior in October of 1995.
I have been a member of New Life for 15 years and serve the New Life Spanish congregation as an Ordained Minister in the Church of God.
My degree is in electronics but I'm currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. In addition, I have studied Theology at Florida Theological Seminary and the Church of God School of Theology; and Business Administration at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico.
I am married to Mayra and we have three children: Dhalmaly, Orlando Jr., and Aryam.

Born the middle child in a minister's home, I grew up in the traditional Church of God minister's family. Dad preached and played the piano, Mom played the organ, and the three of us kids were put on the stage at a very early age to sing as"The Brewer" family. Of course that ended when we became teen agers and singing with your parents was not "cool."
After high school, I ended up in North Dakota (because my Dad was transferred there) to attend Bible College and it was there I met the love of my life. Joe blessed me with two beautiful daughters,, Ándrea & Emma. Ándrea and Jimmy have given me three beautiful grandchildren (Kendal, Hayden & #3 is on the way).
I love to play the piano and sing. And, as is the case with most right brained people, I am always creating something...floral arrangements, interior designs and graphic designs. I have even written a book and have had numerous articles published. Interesting tidbit: I don't like to read!
Truly, I am a blessed woman.
FYI....I LOVE ROLLER COASTERS & CHRISTMAS!!!
Carmela
I was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Puerto Rican natives. On August 6, 1987, at the age of 14, I gave my life to Christ in a small Hispanic Pentecostal church, in the heart of Boston, where I later became a youth leader. As my expository style preaching developed, I began teaching and preaching all over New England, as well as Puerto Rico.
In 1991, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served for almost 10 years.
I have an Associates of Arts degree from Seminole State and I'’m currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from University of Central Florida. I have also completed Clinical Pastoral Education at Florida Hospital.
Prior to my position as youth pastor, I served the New Life Church of God for six years as an educator and preacher in the Hispanic Ministry.
I met Yolanda at the church where I was saved and she became my wife in 1998. She is very gifted and I am blessed to have her serve alongside me in ministry. We have two sons, Jaymel and Elijah

I was born and grew up in Oviedo, Florida as the second oldest of four sisters and two brothers. My family enjoys parties and picnics together.
Technology is my interest and I have a degree in Electronic Engineering. But after working in that field for 13 years, I realized that teaching is my passion, so I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at the University of Central Florida.
My hobbies are fishing & sports. I love spending most of my non-working time with my family and studying or teaching the Word of God. My lovely wife and two children are my pride and joy.
Ervin
Ervin and I came to New Life in 2004 as part of the Church of God Ministerial Internship Program. After becoming Ordained Ministers, we decided to stay at New Life.
I enjoy, and have a passion for, teaching the Word of God, mentoring girls and praying for people. As leaders of the College and Career Ministry, we love sharing God’s Word and encouraging this wonderful group.
I am also a NASA Mission Assurance Manager at the Kennedy Space Center and I love what I do!
I am blessed to have an amazing husband and two beautiful children.

Born December 9th in Schweinfurt, Germany, I grew up in the suburbs until I attended business school and started to work for a major newspaper. In 1974 I met a young US Army officer named Richard Lawson who was infatuated by me. So, I married him.
In December, 1977 we were transferred to the States and I learned English and immersed myself in my new life. During an assignment in El Paso, Texas, I became a born again Christian while attending Jesus Chapel East.
In 1984 I became an American citizen and after 14 moves with the military back and forth to Germany, Richard and I moved to Orlando, FL. New Life Church of God was close to where we lived and worked so we visited the church on November 26, 2000 and have been here ever since.
In 2003, I became the receptionist for the church but over the years have grown into duties as treasurer and office administrator.
My son lives in El Paso, TX with his wife, three daughters and granddaughter; making me a great grandmother!
I love my opportunity to serve New Life because I love the families with whom I worship.
